is a science fantasy romance writer with a knack for using lived experience as a disabled, queer, BIPOC woman to inform her characters, their lives, and circumstances in delightfully odd and poignant ways.

About me

About me

Hannah sits smiling at the camera against a blurred background. Her arms are crossed and she's wearing a brown knit vest. Her tattoos are visible, including a lemonade bottle cap, a dragon, and "P & R" with a little heart. Glasses and brown hair.

Hi! I’m Hannah Jodie Blake, the creative mind behind The Fates series, which are set both on Earth and on a planet of my own creation. Through lived experience of neurodivergence and disability, I aim to weave realistic characters through otherworldly plots. When not devoting many late nights and early mornings to penning the first novel in The Fates, I enjoy time with friends and family, painting my nails vibrant shades, and decorating my Toronto apartment with postcards and celestial charts.

Hannah holds a bound manuscript which is only slightly in focus. She wears a brown knit vest over a blue/grey flannel, her tattoos are on show, and her fingernails are painted red. Most of this image is blurred out.

The Fates is the first series in a world filled with steamy romance, alien kind with superpowers, space travel, intricate civilizations, and much more. I am currently working through drafts of Book One.
